Experienced Mental Health Nurse – New Voluntary Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility

Healthcare Australia is proud to partner with our client in recruiting Experienced Mental Health Nurses for a brand-new, voluntary inpatient rehabilitation service. This is a rare opportunity to join a purpose-built facility at launch and play a pivotal role in shaping a high-quality, recovery-oriented service from day one.

About the Facility

Our client is opening a modern, therapeutic inpatient rehabilitation service that places person-centred, compassionate care at the heart of everything they do. Designed to support individuals to improve their mental health and overall wellbeing, the service will operate within a multidisciplinary, collaborative framework, delivering evidence-based care in a safe, respectful and empowering environment.

The Role

As an Experienced Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, recovery-focused nursing care, including:

  • Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments

  • Developing, implementing and reviewing individualised care plans

  • Medication administration and monitoring treatment outcomes

  • Providing emotional support, crisis intervention and de-escalation as required

  • Collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary clinical and therapeutic team

  • Contributing to clinical governance, quality improvement and service development

  • Promoting a safe, supportive and therapeutic inpatient environment

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Registration as a Mental Health Nurse

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in mental health nursing

  • Strong clinical assessment, risk management and decision-making skills

  • A compassionate, approachable and recovery-focused approach to care

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team

  • Enthusiasm for being part of a new service and contributing to its development
